The Cable Car Nymphomaniac
FOGG Theatre, San Francisco CA, January 2015
FOGG Theatre was created to tell stories about, by, and for the Bay Area, and I had the good fortune to design their inaugural production of The Cable Car Nyphomaniac. Based on the true story of a woman who successfully sued the SF Municipal Transit Authority in the early the 70s for injuries sustained in a cable car accident that turned her into a sex addict, it was a fun examination of societal expectations of women's sex lives. It was a typical musical costume-wise, with lots of quick changes, wigs, and dance numbers. We did a workshop run first, then brought it back for a full production run. The biggest project was building dresses for some of the main characters for the second run.
